Cycling Guide 2.0.1 is now available for Android in the Google Play Storeand iPhone in the App Store. This latest release has several fixes for issues that people have reported to us in version 2.0. Here are the highlights:

  • While cycling, app map could get badly oriented. That now fixed.
  • While onboarding, under some conditions accepting privacy, terms, and map terms was blocked. That’s been fixed.
  • The Feedback screen was blank for some people. That’s been fixed.
  • Panning and zooming the map while cycling was pretty flakey. That’s been fixed.
  • Battery performance should be much improved over previous release.
  • Other small fixes and refinements that are, frankly, too small to note!

As with the previous release, this one also includes some under-the-hood updates that set us up for other cities in Cycling Guide! If you’re interested in trying the app in another city, we’re currently beta testing in Ottawa, ONSarnia-Lambton, ON, and Halifax, NS. Join the beta! (BTW, if you’re already using the beta version in those cities, just keep doing that!)

Happy cycling!
